Two-year study finds numeracy gains in Class 5

An independent two-year evaluation across 40 schools in Maharashtra and Karnataka has found that Class 5 pupils who took part in the programme scored measurably higher on standardised numeracy assessments than matched peers who did not.

The effect was strongest in problem-solving and spatial reasoning items. Researchers also recorded improvements in task persistence that teachers had reported anecdotally for years.
