Recruiting coaches across eighteen states

We are recruiting coaches across all eighteen states we work in, ahead of the 2026–27 academic year.

Competitive experience is welcome but not required. Every coach completes our curriculum training, child-protection training and police verification before they set foot in a school, and we train a great many people who have never played a rated game.

The role is paid, part-time and school-hours, which suits students, retired teachers and parents returning to work. We are especially keen to hear from women coaches for our Girls in Chess clubs, where the shortage is most acute.
